How does Laser Therapy Treat Pain?
Laser therapy is a medical therapeutic device with unparalleled applications and treatment outcomes. The breakthrough Laser technology works by converting light into a biochemical energy that restores normal cell function through the penetration of injured cells that results in the elimination of pain.
The laser’s light stimulates cellular transport of mitochondria, cell membranes, and epithelial cells causing the blood supply to stimulate the synthesis of DNA and RNA (Building blocks), an increase in enzyme production, an increase of superoxide dismutase activity, normalization of tissue pH, and increased ATP production. The cellular level stimulation increases the nutrition to the tissues promoting repair and remodeling.
Simply stated, the laser works to relieve pain and heal the body fast, while also reducing inflammation and edema.
How is the treatment performed?
The laser is placed in contact with the skin allowing the healing light energy to penetrate deep in the tissue to restore normal cell function. The healing light energy helps enhance the body’s natural healing processes by converting the light to biochemicalenergy for the cells to use.
Side Effects
Normal cell functions are restored as a result of the biochemicalenergy, and symptoms will disappear as the body heals.
Other (welcome) side-effects include improved immune function, system, lymphatic drainage, and production of growth hormone is increased to aid in the body’s natural healing process.
The beneficial physiological changes noted above are the result in tissue regeneration and cellular stimulation.
